My life is up-side-down right now and the one thing that keeps me centered are my routines. So, along with walking and going to the dump, one of my big routines is my Sunday planning. It’s a technique I teach to all my coaching clients.
Many of my coaching clients tell me about the things that aren’t working, so we dig down deep to find solutions and invariably the answer lies in planning.
That’s why a SUNDAY PLANNING routine is so important. It brings you RESULTS!
When I plan for the week, I get results. In fact, this week’s plan is finishing up my updated HOSTESS COACHING TOOL KIT. It has been on my master list since January this year and I’m finally getting it completed because every Sunday I lay out the next few steps to make sure I hit my deadline.
I call my Sunday planning the SUNDAY SEVEN. Seven prompts on a checklist to help me PLAN MY WEEK. Here they are..
- What are my 3 Top priority goals for this week. These are important things for me to accomplish for the week.
- What are my blocks of time this week for my business to get things done. I like to assign blocks of time for projects in between my coaching sessions.
- Review my MASTER to-do list in my One Notebook system to see what I want to get done this week, or cross off things I’ve accomplished.
- What needs to get scheduled on my calendar including personal stuff. I schedule everything and sync my paper calendar with my phone calendar.
- What NEW project do I need to begin or plan for. This is planning ahead.
- What social media do I need to create to fill in around my month’s plan. I schedule posts and videos at the beginning of every month and weekly I catch up with on point information especially for my Journey to Leadership clients.
- What I’m grateful for this week. I write it in my journal.
It’s this SMALL 30-minute routine that helps me get things done and get the results I’m looking for EVERY WEEK. If I miss this planning session, life gets crazy. So, I don’t MISS it, it’s one of those non-negotiables.
What results are you looking for this week? What would your SUNDAY SEVEN look like? Take a few minutes and plan it out, you’ll be surprised at what you achieve and the results you get if you plan it every Sunday.
Have you heard about FINDING THE GAP in your business?
It’s a little exercise I give my coaching clients that helps them identify what is not serving them in their business. It helps them zero in on exactly what they need to move the needle forward. I call this FINDING THE GAP and I’ve updated my “Finding the Gap” Assessment tool which helps you realize where you are now and what you need to make a leap to a higher level.
