Have you ever been on a training call and you say to yourself, “I already know that!” If you do, pay attention. When we find ourselves saying “I already know that,” our brain switches off to the learning. We think we don’t need to listen or read any further. We know everything there is to know!
But, when you find yourself saying those words I want you to STOP! Then, take a good look at whether or not you are IMPLEMENTING what you think you already know.
Today, take a minute to assess yourself on following up with Hostesses. Take a quick look at this list and tell me if you are truly IMPLEMENTING these follow-up connections with your hostess. Or tell me if you know it, but you’re NOT truly implementing.
Hostess Follow-up is about building a BFF Relationship.
- Follow-up within 24-48 hours after she said she’d book to review her wish list, go over her guest list and Hostess Guide, and show her how to invite guests to party.
- Follow-up with a mid-way connection to work with her on guest list confirmations, and get guest list information.
- Follow-up and ask her to like and comment in the group if it’s an online party.
- Follow-up the day before the party to ask her to remind the guests to be on time and get confirmations.
- Follow-up to ask her if she has gathered outside orders before the party.
- Follow-up to share business opportunity (if she’s not interested, she may know someone.)
- Follow-up to highlight and thank her on social media
- Follow-up to ask her which guest will be the first booking.
- Follow-up during the party to ask her to contribute.
- Follow up with a special thank you after the party
- Follow-up to continue the relationship and ask her how she & guests had fun at party.
- Follow-up to invite her to your next Hostess Appreciation event.
When you have successful parties, it’s because you made the right CONNECTION with your hostess in your follow-up. Every time you hold a party, take the time to review this list.
