We call it the 2-2-2 System. Follow up within 2 days, 2 weeks, and 2 months. Here’s how it works.
#1 Follow-up within 2-days: This is simply a THANK YOU FOR YOUR ORDER follow-up. It’s important you don’t ask her to order more, or ask her if she wants to book. This is simply to say, “Thank you for you order.” Let her know the order has been placed, and when she should receive it. This follow-up is a great way to build a relationship with your customer.
Having a friendly conversation just thanking her for her order, starts conversations and allows you to get to know more about each other.
#2 Follow-up within 2 weeks: Again, this is a simple THANK YOU. However, now you know she’s received her products. It’s time to ask her how she likes them. Ask questions like, how has this product made you feel? Or, what results are you getting from using your products? Again, this conversation, you’re building a stronger relationship.
At this point in the conversation, she may say, “I love them, and want to order more.” However, she may have a concern about the products. It’s important you address the concern. Remember you’re being “of service” and you want to insure you have a happy and satisfied customer.
#3 Follow-up within 2 months: At this point, your customer may have run out of the product, or used the product many times. This follow up is a friendly conversation about her products, but it’s also the time when you have the opportunity to ask if she’d like to order more, or better yet, if she’s interested in being a host. Within this time, you may have a new product
release so it’s a perfect time to make a booking offer.
Serving your customers with these three follow-up conversations, let’s them know you are a direct seller who cares about her customers. You can follow up with a text, an instant message, a voice message. I believe a phone call gets more results.
For some people, fear shows up in follow-up. They let it go out so long, they are embarrassed to follow-up. My advice to you is to just START! Once you get over the first follow-up discomfort and keep going, you’ll enjoy having conversations with your customers. You cannot get results if you insist on avoiding discomfort. Remember, you have MET this person because she bought a product from you. She’s
YOUR customer! Let her know you care, even if it’s been a year.
