I received a message this week that asked me “How do I get my team motivated?”
The answer to this question is,
- You can’t motivate someone. Motivation has to come from within.
- Let’s change the question
- Instead of “How do I get my team motivated?” Change it to “How do I get my team inspired?”
There are many ways to inspire your team. One of the best ways today is to inspire them in a TEAM Facebook Group.
5 Tips for posting in your TEAM Facebook Group
#1 Set positive expectations! Let your posts reflect you as a professional and caring, kind and inspiring leader. Post uplifting words that rallies the team to respond to your posts. A simple, “How are you managing your business this week with the kids at home” will get instantaneous results. Remember, people are checking
Facebook 2, 3 and 4 times a day and when they respond, they will share the activities that are bringing them results.
#2 Post consistently every day! Your presence online in your TEAM group role models the importance of working your business consistently. PLUS team members know they have easy access to you through this page, so questions are answered and obstacles removed through your quick responses.
#3 Use praise and recognition often. Write about your team members’ party successes, their recruiting accomplishments and more. Include as many successes as you can big and small. The best part about praising one person is that it motivates others. People notice praise, even when it goes to someone else.
#4 Remind team of important events. Sometimes we assume everyone knows about upcoming team meetings or company webinars. People need to be reminded and a reminder in your TEAM Facebook group may make the difference for a large attendance at your team meetings or on special new product release webinars.
#5 THIS IS IMPORTANT! Share team goals and milestones every week! This is key to getting everyone being part of the team effort. My coaching clients who work with my Calendar Club Team bookings system do this EVERY WEEK Always share how CLOSE you are to achieving your team goals. Remember, the team is checking
Facebook hourly!
