We’ll all look back to the Summer of 2020 as that time when we all went VIRTUAL.
Virtual parties, virtual conferencing, and yes, even virtual recruiting.
I remember in the good old days when I was recruiting LONG DISTANCE. I would get a referral from a friend or customer who had a friend who was interested in joining my team. I would send that person a packet of information and schedule a phone call to share my business opportunity.
Then, it was a matter of following up, via phone (not texting back then) to see when it was the right time for her to join. When she decided she would fill out an application that I’d mailed to her and she would fax back that application to me and to the company so she would be in the system. We never met face to face, but we built a relationship over the phone. I would email her information with
specific guidelines how to do a launch party – on her own. I let her know to call me with any questions or she could call customer service at the company if she had any technical questions.
Then she would attend conference and we’d get to know each other and I would help her grow a team in her area where she lived. Then I would fly or drive to her area when she got 3 new team members and do an opportunity event and a training so we could grow her area and she would move into leadership.
Lots of information going back and forth via telephone, fax and flying long distance to connect!
I want to point out how EASY it is today with phone, email, text, instant messaging, Facebook groups and virtual platforms to build relationships and find new team members! Oh MY!
