I hope you’re doing okay and surviving quarantine time. I really wonder if life will ever be the same again.
Your opportunity to grow your Direct Sales business has made a huge shift because it’s mostly going to happen ONLINE.
But online is a big world and if you're not certain where to find those ideal customers, hostesses and new team members that you dream of working with, you may find yourself on a slippery slope that can quickly shift into overwhelm.
I'm here to help by giving you a specific list of exactly what shifts I see you’re going to need right from the chair you're sitting in right now.
Here are my 7 areas of what I think you’ll be needing going forward with your ONLINE business.
- Virtual Parties. These would be top of the list. Making the shift to ONLINE virtual parties is necessary right now and for the long haul. The key is to learn how to work with hostesses to gather friends who feel comfortable going online. If want to learn how to make this shift, invest in my Master Class “8

- Going live on Facebook and Instagram. Getting comfortable with being LIVE on camera is a shift many of us are finding necessary, especially those in leadership positions. There is the ONLINE technical aspect to learn, but also feeling at ease speaking on camera takes practice.
- Customer Care. Having a customer care system in place is SO important. One of the best ways to serve your customers is to have an interactive and robust customer ONLINE VIP Facebook group. My clients work diligently at building relationships in their groups and it pays off with lots of re-orders, future bookings and people who learn more and want to
join. Another area I see will be necessary is to add your “own” customer monthly newsletter. Keeping in touch with customers via email and social media will be the best way to keep your customers informed.
- Hostess Coaching. Connecting with hostesses is the essence of having successful parties. I have shifted my training on my 3 connect Hostess formula with an online component. This is also available in the “8 Techniques to Holding a Virtual Party.” With online hostess coaching you’ll find there is a need for detailed instruction and helping them invite
friends who are familiar with being online. You’ll be collecting everyone’s email information so a specific follow-up system needs to be in place. One client specifically uses a video conference APP to communicate with her hostesses.
- Virtual ONLINE Launch parties for new recruits. This is a huge shift for many who want to begin an online business. You’ll find some new team members will embrace this because they are tech savvy. However, for others this may be a big step into a brand new world and there will be a learning curve which means you will have to have a NEW system for onboarding your new recruits
that guides them online as soon as possible.
- Social Media content planning. Social media is our marketing venue and you will find some team members are extremely versed in Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. Others will need direction and instructions on how to use this area to enhance their business. The irony here is these platforms are constantly changing so keeping up with these changes will have to be addressed
moving forward.
- Virtual Networking. Right now the world has shifted to online networking. Organizations like BNI, Chambers of Commerce and Women’s organizations are now meeting online on ZOOM! Zoom get-togethers are high on everyone’s list today and I believe will continue to be part of our direct selling world going forward. I have prepared a list of Zoom Etiquette rules.

Take a good long time reviewing this SPECIFIC list and factor the shifts you need to take. In fact, I suggest you write the headings down and beside each heading make a note of what you need to do make these shifts in your business.
