So, we are still at home… We are still isolating, but people want to CONNECT more than ever, so we have to find ways to connect ONLINE. Here are my THREE tips to connecting with customers ONLINE.
#1 Entertain Virtually. Think of gathering people together! That’s key right now. They want to be entertained. Every Friday, I’m holding a “Friday Tea & Fashions” zoom gathering where we drink tea, have lovely conversations about life in quarantine and I throw in style tips about my three C’s to looking good – feeling chic, confident and comfortable.
There is “no purchase necessary.” This is for entertainment. Think of ways to entertain your customers with a customer appreciation event or weekly gathering and build those connections.
#2 Educate Virtually. Your products have solutions and these are the stories to share with your customers right now. Solutions that will help them get through quarantine. One coaching client is holding a weekly “game” night with her customers. She’s sharing stories and helping learn more about her products. One game was a Catalog Bingo and her
customers loved it.
#3 Escape Virtually. Yes, we need to escape from our situation, but it has to be virtual. There are customers who have never been on zoom and this is your chance to help them learn something new. When they connect with other like-minded people and escape from the grind of a house full of 24/7, it allows them to look beyond and make new plans. You can take your customers on an
imaginary journey with your “unique” ONLINE shopping experience.
