As the doorman opened my car door, I thought this was fun and loved the entry to the hotel full of beautiful antique clocks and bright lights. When we walked into the foyer, I could see a woman playing a harp and was truly enthralled, and then we walked through the lounge area to the back, and that’s when I got my surprise. There were beautifully laid tables of gorgeous bone china, teapots and teacups
and tiered plates of scones, petit fours, and people were all drinking TEA! MY FAVORITE THING! The big surprise we were booked in to have HIGH TEA at the Peninsula Hotel! And I was definitely SURPRISED!
So, what does this have to do with recruiting?
One of the best things that happen when you drink tea with friends and loved ones, is you have CONVERSATION! The conversation around tea is usually a celebration or a happy occasion. But sometimes it’s a conversation about a crisis or a struggle or obstacle that’s getting in the way. In Australia when these things occur, we say, “let’s put the kettle on and have a cuppa and a
conversation!”
So, having high tea and conversations makes me think of how many recruiting conversations and friendships you’re building to grow your strong team.
I LOVE my coaching clients because they are women with purpose. Their purpose is to grow teams of women with purpose. So, one of the exercises I give them is to have 100 conversations with prospects in a specific period of time. So, this week, I want you to think about having 100 recruiting conversations with prospects in the month of February. Having Tea (or coffee)
conversations will build you amazing friendships and new team members.
