Hello, ,
It’s been a very action-packed week having coaching sessions with my Journey to Leadership clients. Each one is on a different journey in their business, and it’s exciting to see them create their own Journey vision board. The bottom line is they each want to rock their business in 2020 and promote up to the next level in their company.
Most of all, each are committed to being accountable to their own plan (their own journey) and timeline in growing and moving up a level. If you’re ready for the next opening of Journey to Leadership get on the wait list here.
What would moving up a level in your business mean to you?
- Would you like to see a higher commission check?
- Would you enjoy that feeling of accomplishment?
- Would you be excited to help more people?
- Would you be psyched to have that feeling of growth?
Your company lays out the guidelines on how to get to each level, but I believe there are three essential questions to ponder if you really want to promote.
FIRST: If you want to move up, who do you need to BECOME?
You may have all the requirements laid out with a timeline and steps, but take a look at the people who are already at the top or at the level you want to be and see what they’re doing. Ask yourself,
- What habits are they doing?
- What systems do they have in place?
- What strategies do you see them implementing?
- How do they serve their teams?
- How disciplined are they in having a strong personal business?
- What are they doing consistently?
- What is the ONE thing they do that you haven’t done yet?
SECOND: If you want to move up, what ACTIONS do you need to take? Or what do you need to DO? Ask yourself,
- Am I acting the part by leading by example? What does that look like?
- Am I consistent in communicating with my team?
- Am I holding consistent parties?
- Am I consistently recruiting?
- Am I showing up every day?
- Am I holding myself accountable?
THIRD: If you want to move up, what do you need to HAVE in place?
- What specific requirements do I need to have? This would include personal volume, # team members, team volume, etc.
- Who are the “right” people I need on my team? The right people are those that are consistently working their business.
- What discipline will I need?
- What vision do I see ahead?
- What “mindset” must I have? Are you ready to take on the role of the next level leadership? This is probably the most important question to ask yourself
Moving up a level is a growth spurt in your business and in you, and when I ask the question, what is your biggest obstacle in growing your business, the answer I hear over and over is,
- “Getting out of my own way”
- “Not being accountable to me.”
- “Stepping out of my comfort zone”
Let’s get real today and ask yourself, after all it’s January and so much time to move up in 2020. “What is stopping you to moving up a level in your business?”
- Who are you not BEING to move up a level?
- What are you not DOING to move up a level?
- What do you need to HAVE in place to move up a level?
