Have you ever known a moment when you know you made the right decision?

 

It was 10:15pm and I was packing up my clothes, getting ready to depart my hostess’s home.  She was delighted at having over a $1000 show and received two full outfits with her hostess credit. 

 

Suddenly the door burst open and a woman came racing in.. “I’m so sorry I’m late.  I’ve been trying to get here all evening!   I want to place an order!”

 

I pulled out my order pad and sat her down.  She told me she’d been searching for someone who sold these clothes in Denver for a long time, and was so happy to finally meet me.  She proceeded to place her order…

            3  Skirts – 4 pairs pants --  4 Classic Jackets --  Tops in 4 different colors.

 

Oh my, it looked like my party was adding another $1,000 in sales.

 

Then I STOPPED writing up the order!

 

It’s funny how ONE MOMENT, ONE DECISION can make a difference in your business.   

 

It was late, and I’d just met this woman for the first time!  I know my hostess was waiting for me to leave!

 

It was at that moment, I made a decision!   I very politely asked this woman who absolutely LOVED my clothes if she’d like to meet for coffee tomorrow morning at 10:00 am.

 

I think she was astonished that I didn’t take her credit card and process her order.  But, I realized this was someone who would be a great team member.  She had briefly mentioned she had a corporate job, but that was all I knew.  But, in that moment, I knew I wanted to know more about her!

 

The rest is history, Cathy did indeed meet me for coffee and signed up with the largest kit.  She became an incredible team member, and friend and went on to quit her corporate job and be one of my great leaders on my million-dollar team.
