It’s so easy to say this, but it’s so much harder to actually feel it!
How many times do you feel pushy, salesy or even downright SCARED to ask for a booking, so you just let those little voice in your head WIN and you don’t ASK!
Yes, even those of us who have been in Direct Sales for many years, still have this FEELING!
Today I have TWO tips for you (and this girl who I hope signed up for this ezine). These two tips are right from my ON YOUR MARK, GET SET, BOOK! Workshop (see more below on this.)
TIP #1 to Get Bookings. It takes WORK to get bookings. There are four areas you have to work at getting bookings “every day.”
- The first is NETWORKING and making new friends. Sometimes we keep asking the same people, but we must break out and meet new people. Forging new relationships with people, building new relationships will bring you a new hostess.
- Second, be prepared to have a private appointment with someone online or offline. My sole purpose in booking private appointments was to convert that person to a hostess and most of the time it worked because we built such a lovely friendship,
- Third, get consistent with your customer service system. Grow your Facebook VIP group, reach out consistently and serve your customers, and when you build those strong relationships, they will book with you.
- Four, is something nobody wants to do these days. Spend just 15 min every day and CALL people to find out if they love their products or how they are doing. You will build great relationships & you won’t have any qualms about asking them to book with you.
This is what it takes every day – day in - day out - remember this is your J.O.B. to get bookings.

Tip #2 to Get Bookings. Gaining confidence in your business is one of the best ways to gain momentum to achieve success in your business. Your self-assurance grows when you are willing to step out of the box and you begin to get the results you’re looking for. Confidence grows when you learn skills. What once seemed difficult, like asking for a booking, now becomes joyful
because you have learned the skills and your mindset is in the right place when you know how to ask.
If you’re not getting bookings, then INVEST in training with your company, work with your upline, or hire a coach! Believe me this is all a LEARNED skill and when you LEARN you will become so confident, you’ll wonder why you struggled in the first place.
