ARE YOU FALLING INTO THE COMPARISON TRAP?
When we first join Direct Sales, we are on a journey! I started my journey in Hawaii and then I moved to Colorado and expanded and grew my team all over the country. Sometimes we don’t realize the opportunity that has been handed to us by our sponsor. We let those voices in our head get the better of us as we look around and see others having more success, or growing at a faster rate than ourselves.
I know this happened to me. My team was growing but not as fast as some of my colleagues. I kept thinking of all kinds of excuses. It was hard to move to a new city and start over. My sponsor disappeared on me. I moved into two apartments before we bought our new home. When we see others streaming ahead, sponsoring and growing their team we forget the reasons why we joined.
So, if you’re feeling this today, I want to REMIND YOU…
- You joined because you love the freedom of being your own boss, working your own hours and you don’t have to answer to anyone who is watching your work performance.
- You joined because you love your products and company because you know when you share them you make a difference in people’s lives.
- You joined because you have an opportunity to share with others that can change their lives earning as little as $500 a month in extra income.
- You joined because you get lots of support and encouragement from your company, your leader, your team mates, but in the end you get to run your business how “you” want to run it.
If you’re getting caught in the comparison trap and feeling like others are being more successful than you, then read these reminders again. Don’t worry about what others are doing. This is YOUR JOURNEY. Swim in your own lane. Stay focused on YOUR JOURNEY! That’s when the magic of success will happen for you!
