Hello, ,
This week in my mastermind group I led a discussion on Social Media possibilities! This is an ongoing topic of discussion because it’s an ever-changing subject! We are all learning new ways to post something, to share something, to comment and to be live on video every day! In our group, I paired up the members to collaborate and discuss the possibilities of improving their social media strategy. This is a great way to improve relationships on
your team!
In our discussion, I noticed how each one of the members of the group were very complimentary in learning from each other’s contributions. This was truly a great team effort, lots of ideas were shared, the team members were contributing and also receiving great feedback from their own contributions, and it got me thinking about what it truly means to be a strong team player.
John Maxwell says, “Teamwork is at the heart of all great achievement.”
He also says, “if you want to reach your potential or strive for the seemingly impossible – you need to become a team player. Individuals play the game, but teams win championships!”
So, today as a reminder think about how you are being a strong team player.
- How well do you show up for your team? By that I mean do you show up for every team meeting, or every company sponsored training?
- Do you attend your conference, or do you make excuses and stay home?
- When you attend team meetings, are you the one who dives in to help your leader with tasks?
- Are you holding six or more parties a month and contributing to the team calendar?
- When another team member is feeling low, are you the one to follow up to help her feel better?
- Are you focused on achieving the company incentives every month?
- Are you scheduling time to follow up or are you saying, no-one is interested?
- On team calls are you the one who speaks up?
- Are you committed to being a team player? to growing your business?
- Is your involvement in the team helping others be successful?
- How do you help others achieve their goals?
- Are you inviting prospects to every opportunity event?
- How do you cheer others on?
- Are you accountable to your team? Do you show up when you say you will?
- What value are you contributing to the team?
- How consistent are you communicating with other team members and your leader?
- Bottom line-are you always giving your best as a team player?
YOUR CONTRIBUTION COUNTS!
The biggest thing about teamwork is CONTRIBUTION! I always say to every team member, YOUR CONTRIBUTION COUNTS!
- That means if you’re only able to put in an order or two this month, your contribution counts! Or,
- if you contribute just one party this month – your contribution counts! Or,
- If you are holding six parties and having your highest sales ever, your contribution counts!
That’s what TEAMWORK is all about! But it begins with you being a good team player!
Like Rosie the Riveter, who stepped up to contribute to the war effort as a strong team player, think about how you contribute to YOUR team and do your part to help make it a winning team!
