It’s been a busy week this week finishing up my Team Building Boot Camp. I was asked to be a guest speaker on a Team call and in my L.E.A.P. Mastermind group we
focused on my 5-step recruiting process and how to make recruiting a priority!
How do you make recruiting a priority?
When I asked this question with my coaching clients I got answers like…
- “I now realize I’m maintaining and not making it a priority.”
- “I need to spend more time on lead generation and follow up.”
- “Now, I know that I just have to focus on closing prospects.”
- “It’s that building
relationship piece that I’m missing.”
There are so many things to focus on and sometimes it’s just making it a priority that makes the difference in growing our business to achieve the goals we want. I look at recruiting as friendshipping – gaining new friends! We start with the relationship, then we move into the friendship.
The recruiting process is about finding the prospects and that’s all about holding parties, networking,
working your business so you are in front of enough people every month to find people who are looking for an opportunity. Then you learn how to invite them to hear more about your opportunity and become confident in presenting your opportunity so they are ready to join either now or maybe later. That’s when the follow-up system kicks in and as I tell all my clients, “Your prospect will join when the time is right for HER!”
Then there is the mindset part! I
call it the “mental chatter.” It’s the mental chatter that stops us from asking, stops us from inviting, stops us from presenting and stops us from following up.
Does your current mental chatter say, “I can’t find the right people?” or “Nobody’s interested in signing up with me?” I learned that the energy of thought creates doubt, and that’s especially true in recruiting. You have to consciously learn to shift your energy of thought from, “I can’t find the right
people” to “I am looking for my Ideal Prospect!” When you shift your mental chatter to positive, you will recognize a prospect because you made recruiting a priority!
Michael Hyatt has something he calls the BIG THREE! This means he only works on three main tasks per day. He then decides on everything else as something he desires It’s something I’ve adopted in my own business. I love lists and my lists are LONG, but I found coming up with three main tasks
to finish every day, I become much more efficient in getting things done, and getting projects finished.
Making recruiting a priority has been MY PRIORITY this week working with my private coaching clients, my L.E.A.P. Mastermind group and Team Building Boot Camp peeps. I am excited to see their results as we move into the highest selling and recruiting months of the year!
What about you? How are you making recruiting a priority in your business?
