How would you like to see this amazing view every morning of your life?  This is nature’s first glimpse of every day for me.  It’s not as pink as this every day, but it’s always my time to zone in on “me!”  It’s how I start most every day taking a 4 mile walk around the town, out to the stables and green pastures of Parker Ranch and the beautiful Mauna Kea as my backdrop.  And it’s the answer to the question, my lovely coaching client Allison, asked me this week.

She said, “Gale, I love reading but it’s so easy for me to push my stack of books to the side for other things I need to do, like sleep (for instance- haha!)  BUT, I know it’s important. How do I commit to reading every day?”  So this is my tip for you this week.

Invest in YOU!

This month in our L.E.A.P. Mastermind coaching group we are focusing on having a CEO MINDSET!  One of the subjects we discussed was INVESTING IN YOU!   When you take the time to INVEST IN YOU, you will see amazing results in your business.  What are the best ways to invest in you?  Well let’s talk about 

• Invest in your Education – what do you need to learn?  Every time I want to learn something, I say to myself, “I’m going to master this!”   As entrepreneurs in Direct sales there are many areas of our business we want to master.  Choose one and begin immediately.
• Invest in YOU Attending Company events - Never, never, never miss a company event, like your upcoming conference.  I hear you saying, “I can’t afford it,” or “I can’t leave the kids,”. But what you’re actually saying, “I’m not WORTH investing in me.” (OUCH!)
• Invest in Online Courses – Right now, there are so many courses online available.  My advice is to not spend more than $150.00 and make sure when you invest in it, you take the time to learn from it.
• Invest in Hiring a Coach – I LOVE my coaching clients because they made the decision to invest in THEMSELVES!  They know the value of having an accountability partner and they add one extra party or $500 in sales every month to pay for their investment in coaching.  The results of course, lie in their top performance in achieving higher levels.
• Invest in reading! Here’s where I get to answer dear Allison’s question on finding the time as a busy Mom, wife and entrepreneur to find time to READ!  

Pick a NUMBER!   My number was 10!

and COMMIT to reading that many pages every day!

10 was a perfect number for me! 

I would find time to read pages 

sometimes early in the morning before getting out of bed

sometimes late at night before going to sleep,

sometimes, at lunch.  

I would count out the pages and add my book mark to the next 10 pages, and it was amazing how easy it seemed to just read 10 pages. 

It only takes about 20 minutes to read 10 pages, but if you DISCIPLINE yourself

to reading 10 pages EVERY DAY, you’ll find you will be reading at least one or maybe even two books a month! (Depending on the # pages.)

So, Dear Allison – find that time to read just 10 (or your number) of pages and continue to love reading and investing in you!

Investing in YOU, will come back to you in building your confidence, helping you stay on track with your goals and see your income raise as you become more successful in your direct sales business.

The KEY to investing in YOU, is believing that you are “worth it.”  You are your greatest asset – YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS!
