When I first joined Direct Sales, my sponsor, was a no-nonsense woman, and I thank her every day for helping me get my business
off the ground very fast. In fact, unbeknownst to me, I arrived at my first conference as the highest selling person on her team.
You see, she was
making that $200,000 a year income and I knew she was a pro at what she did so I just followed her instructions.
She would say to me, Gale, the rule at every
party is to ASK EVERY person for a booking. At first that was very hard. I felt like I was being pushy in asking everyone to book. And after every party, my sponsor would say to me, Gale, did you ask EVERYONE to book? And, I’d have to admit I didn’t ask everyone and I’d have to admit to her that I didn’t get two bookings.
As I became more confident in asking, it got easier. And then I read the book, “The 5 Love Languages” and I realized if I focused on building the relationship with each guest at check-out table, it really wasn’t so hard to ask EVERYONE if they’d like to book a party, and it began to feel more
authentic.
As time evolved I turned this into what I now call “The Booking LOVE language.”
