I’m over the top excited about the next five months! This is what we call the “busy” season or the “golden time” for direct sellers, because in the next four months, September through December, the opportunities are ten fold, yes TEN times more business than you’ve done ALL year!   My grandsons experienced the “Salmon fishing season” this summer with great abundance!   YOU TOO can have great abundance if you prepare and focus on the next 4 months.  I have 5 HOT TIPS to help you do that in my FEATURE ARTICLE below.  Pay attention to TIP #5, it could make the difference in achieving your goals for 2017.

5 Ways to Kick Off the Busy Season​​​​​​​

 
What would happen in your business if…
  • you knew you had hostesses waiting to be on your calendar?
  • you had customers  re-ordering product consistently?
  • you had new recruits on a wait-list ready to join your team?
  • you could foresee you would qualify for your company incentive trip early?
  • you enjoyed every customer sending you a referral?
  • you forecasted your income would grow 25% every month?
What would happen to your business? The answer to all theses questions is your business would GROW!

The next four months, September through December are the busiest and most productive time of the year. I call it the “golden” time or the “busy season” because people are ENGAGED!

  • They are engaged with a busy routine – kids are back to school and life gets back to normal.
  • They have family events - from Labor day on scheduled on their calendar.
  • They are engaged in social events – there are more social events than any other time of the year.
  • It’s the biggest gift giving time of the year, so people are ready to buy your products, and have parties at their homes.
  • People are engaged in looking for ways to earn income to pay for this busy time, so it’s one of the best times of the year to recruit new people.
It’s August, and this is the month of transition, and it’s time to prepare for this very lucrative and abundant “busy” season! It’s the time to tweak and adjust to the realities of your business and be ready to take charge of your business to achieve the goals you want.

Are you excited? I am excited just writing about this.

Let me share with you 5 ways to make this happen and kick-off a fantastic, exciting and very, very fruitful busy season.

#1  Order your NEW season product Kit Are you delaying this crucial step thinking you’ll order it later, or you’ll just order bits and pieces as you go?  STOP right there!  This is why I’ve made this NUMBER ONE!   New Product kits are designed to help you be successful in your business.  Your company has spent time and hours working out which products will sell the best from the selections they choose for you.  Don’t delay this action.  Bottom line, if you don’t have the NEW products, you really don’t have a business.

#2  Hold a Sneak Peek Customer Appreciation launch party! This is a fantastic opportunity to spoil your best customers and share with them that they are the FIRST to get a ‘sneak peek’ at the new products!   Create a special event and let them know how you will appreciate them at the event. --

  • Offer a special theme.
  • Serve a special dessert or drink
  • Set the stage with different stations for them to sample the new products
  • Do fun drawings to make the event extra special
This event was an ANNUAL event for me.  My customers looked forward to being invited to be the first to see the new product line.  I always gave them an added bonus for bringing a friend and that way I always had NEW customers added every season from this event.

Caveat: Don’t make this an open house!  Make it a scheduled event that begins at a special time so everyone sees your fun and exciting demonstration of the new products.

#3  Book 10 parties in the first 10 weeks Be proactive with your calendar in the beginning of the busy season.  Get serious with your calendar and use the CALENDAR CONFIDENCE system I teach to all my clients in the Direct Sales Planner system.  Mark off when you want to book your first 10 parties on your calendar, then get busy and fill those slots on your calendar. (using green sticky notes.)

It takes WORK to get bookings. In my recent FREE webinar on how to get bookings, I shared that it’s important  to understand when you look at your calendar each month, your JOB, your WORK, is to make sure you are filling those available booking slots.  It’s called having a  booking mindset and that is the FIRST step to never running out of bookings on your calendar.   When you have that booking mindset you will  EXPECT to get bookings!    When you book your first TEN hostesses, they will be extremely excited to know they are ONE of your first TEN hostesses on your calendar.  Create a special Hostess basket for the first 10 along with a special one-time gift.

#4 W.I.T.A. approach Who is that top person in your company that you want to aspire to be like her?  Do you ever wonder why some people succeed even though life throws them obstacles and challenges?  Somehow they manage to build their business, despite it all.  You wonder how they do it, and where they get the time or energy?

The answer is simple, they look at life with a “no excuses” approach.

  • They don’t pay attention to not having enough time.
  • The don’t use excuses to blame or justify why they can’t succeed.
  • They  have a “Whatever it Takes Attitude” to make their business work. It’s this attitude and the fact that they are willing to invest not only money, but also time and a determined effort that is the reason they are at the top!
