Imagine waking up to dinosaurs and you are 6 years old!  It’s still a magical world for my grandson, Luke, who informed his mother he wanted a Jurassic Park birthday party.  So, this weekend we are in full Jurassic Park swing!

Time is whizzing by and we are already half way through 2016... How are you doing?  Are you on track with your goals in your business?  Have you achieved what you want so far?  Summer is here in the northern hemisphere and for those of you down-under, you’re enjoying that beautiful winter weather.   But, summer or winter when it’s mid-year it’s time for a mid-year review.   To help you focus and reflect, review and plan out the rest of your year, read the tips in my FEATURE ARTICLE below and respond to my CALL TO ACTION!

June is always an important month for me in my business. I always plan a specific project and this month I blogged for 30 days sharing tips on staying active and consistent in your business, every day!  If you’ve been following the blogs, you’ll notice yourself creating a ritual of reading and taking action every day.  Here’s a sample of Day 29 which is an important message on Calendar Confidence.

FEATURE ARTICLE:  A Mid-Year Call to Action
 
It’s time for getting clear with your 2016 Goals.  If you created a vision board in the beginning the year, it’s time to step back and reflect on what’s happened in your business so far this year.  

It’s the perfect time to ask yourself, 
“What Worked?”  and
“What would I have done differently?”

These two questions alone, will help you get clear with what you want to happen in the next six months of 2016.  

The second half of the year is the most productive selling and recruiting time of the year.  As a direct seller you want to position yourself for success in these next six months.  Now is the perfect time to review your goals and tweak and adjust.   It’s  time to step back and reflect on where you’re at, address some challenges that have held you back, set new goals and map out the rest of the year with a clear focus.  

With clarity you’re able to:

  • Re-adjust your yearly goal by December 31st.  Maybe this goal has changed?  Now is a great time to re-group and focus on the “reality” of what you can achieve by the end of the year.  Now is the time to prepare for this.
  • Create an action plan for the second half of the year.  With a new “reality” goal, you’ll be more organized and energized when you create some key action steps.
  • Create a new weekly work pattern.  Pay attention to “how” you work every week.  Three most important activities to work on every day, no matter what,  are: 
    • ​​​​​​​Booking parties
    • Recruiting appointments
    • Follow up (Customer care, telephone, email, social media)
  • Find ways to overcome obstacles.  Oh how we wish life would sail along and not present any bumps in the road.  With clarity you develop confidence in handling obstacles.  When you have goals and action plans, you find ways to go around, go over, go through and conquer the problem that might otherwise hold you back. 
  • Lastly, have a good  accountability program for yourself.  Yes, you have the freedom of owning your own business and work those flex hours around your busy lifestyle, but if you don’t have an accountability program or “someone” to hold you accountable, you’ll find life gets in the way every time.   
I have completed half-yearly goal strategy sessions with my coaching clients.  We are doing a mid-year review of their goals and action plans. We are focusing on critical success actions over the next six months.
