How to get to the next level in your DS Biz
It warmed my heart this week hearing from my client who is so excited she sponsored three people in one week. That’s because she’s
applying the principles we discussed in getting to the next level in her business.
No matter where you’re at in your direct sales business, if you want to be successful, you must always look for ways to double your income and grow your business. And, that is planning and aspiring to get to the next career level
opportunity.
A question for you today is –
"Are you taking massive action,
but seem to be spinning your wheels and not getting the results you
want?"
As I look back at how I moved up the ladder to grow my million dollar team, I had specific targets to get to the next level. But before I could even begin to strategize those specific targets, I worked on three essential steps to prepare myself to get to the next
level.
These three essential steps might surprise you, as they are a different type of activity than the fundamental endeavors we work on every day. To prepare to get to the next level, I recommend you follow these three essential steps.
Essential Step
#1 Clarity
Do you have a real clear strategy to take your business to the next level? Sometimes we don’t have clarity because we’re not specific with actually knowing the requirements or qualification specs in getting to the next level.
When I asked a leader recently about what
requirements she needed to get to the next level she paused and we got on her website to figure out the specifics of
how many personal recruits she needed for that level
her personal sales requirements
her team
volume
the number of team leaders or higher level leaders
Once you have a clear strategy, it’s simple to map out a timeline with goals and action steps that will get you to the next level.
Essential Step #2 Unblock your Blocks
There is a special drive you need to go the next level in your business, and many times it’s those limiting beliefs that hold you back. The key question to ask is
“What is
holding me back?
Identifying those blocks or beliefs can sometimes be surprising. What stories are you listening to in your head that say,
I’m too busy…
I don’t know enough…
It’s hard to recruit or grow leaders…
Recognize what’s blocking your progress and unblock them. Dig deep and find ways to move through them with help from a mentor or a coach. Your limiting beliefs could be what’s stopping you to get to the next
level.
Essential Step #3 Strengthen your team
Understand that to have a strong and successful business in direct sales is to have a strong and successful team. Whether it’s your personal team that needs strengthening or your whole downline, or helping leaders qualify so you can
to move to the next level, it’s the strength of your team that lies in your PEOPLE and how you support and help them build strong successful businesses.
To strengthen your team is to grow what I call “business builders.” Business builders are people who truly want to take the opportunity offered and grow it by following the business model of book, sell and recruit.
Business builders want to grow and build to leadership. So the best way to do that is to spread this question throughout your team. Ask yourself first, then ask your team.
“Am I offering a business opportunity or a product at a discount?”
It’s a simple question, but when you spread this throughout your team, you will strengthen their resolve to invite people to join who truly want to grow to leadership. It’s this mindfulness in working with your team, that will help business builders grow and prosper.
These are three essential steps to help you
prepare to get to the next level.
Pay attention and get very clear with the next career level requirements.
Unblock those limiting beliefs, and
Strengthen your team with business
builders.
