Spreading the Word About Direct Sales
Every afternoon at 4 o’clock I stop for a
breather for my cup of tea! Yes, I’ll admit I’m a tea addict. LOL. It’s kind of become a ritual and once in a while, I love to invite friends over to join me. This week a friend was visiting from California and joined me for my afternoon ritual on Wednesday.
We had a lovely chat catching up with our family and friends. It got around to sharing my coaching business. I love to share how
much I LOVE working with leaders around the world in the direct sales industry.
Very often, when I share this statement, I see the eyes glaze over and the smile widen and I know that people have no clue about direct sales, or leadership, or growing a million dollar team. And that’s exactly the look I saw in my friend’s eyes this week.
Do you have that experience with some of your good friends? Even family members? They think you are playing around and selling some great products, but those products aren’t for them. And your family, especially, think you have that little hobby called a direct sales business, but you really don’t make any money.
When I shared with my friend my story of joining a direct
sales company and growing a team of women selling three million dollars in sales every year, her mouth dropped open and she looked shocked! She began asking me questions and said she had no idea you could earn that kind of money holding home parties and growing a team.
I shared with her the incredible legacy this industry leaves with women. She listened to me expound on the following
areas.
Confidence. One of the biggest things that affect our business and income is a level of self-confidence. Confident affects how we take action, which are the things we do every day that create results in our business. Confidence is responsible for how many bookings we secure, (yes those home parties). It affects the size of our monthly sales and how many people join our team. Women
in direct sales build their confidence every day.
Role Model for others. Women who own their own direct sales business role model for so many people. They set examples for their children being the CEO of their own company. They show other women the benefits of earning their own income. As they grow and step into leadership, they role model success in helping others on the team be
successful. When you look up to those top leaders in your company who are earning a six-figure income, you know it’s all possible for you too.
Leadership skills. I built a million dollar team to the #1 Leader position in my company. I learned how to inspire people, how to be a great trainer and a coach. Most of all I learned how to be a good listener and be empathetic to
others. These are all life skills as well. Leaders learn self-discipline in handling team goals and challenges. Leadership helps you grow YOU as well as your team.
Self-Esteem is a fantastic by-product of direct sales. Women help people feel good and look good every day sharing the products they LOVE, but there’s much more. When someone joins this industry and experiences the
recognition from leaders and above, they feel special. They feel special because they are recognized for their worth in front of others, and are treated with kindness and respect. There is nothing that builds a person’s self esteem faster than being recognized for her efforts in front of others. I see leaders recognizing and making people feel special every day in this industry.
Earn an income
that make a difference. For some women in direct sales earning an extra $500 a month can make the difference in paying for necessities for the family. Many women earn much more. For me, earning a six-figure income helped our family put kids through college at a crucial time in our lives. The bottom line is direct sales offers the potential to earn “enough” money that makes a difference for people’s lifestyle and family. This is an industry
where women feel in control of their destiny knowing they’ll have enough income to make the difference.
Take a minute and spend some time with the people who care for you, and those who don’t realize the immense possibilities available in this wonderful industry. Make sure they know about the great opportunity you have in your direct sales business.
