Do you have a Secret Wish for your Biz?
It's mid-year, are you on track with your vision and goals for 2014?
Do you remember the Jim Carey story? The story goes in 1987 he was a relatively unknown stand up comic. He drove to the Hollywood sign and made a bold claim. He made this bold claim by writing himself a check for TEN million dollars and inscribed the notation on the check "for acting services rendered." Then he postdated the check to Thanksgiving 1995 which was EIGHT years into the future.
For the next seven years, he carried this check in his back pocket. In the early nineties, he began attracting attention for his manic role in the hit TV comedy "In Living Color." A few years later he got his breakout film role, starring in the 1994 hit movie "Ace Ventura" and followed that same year by two more blockbusters, "The Mask" and "Dumb and Dumber." By the fall of 1995 when his check came due, Jim Carey's asking price for a film was not ten million, it was twenty million dollars!
This story is an example of having a vision of what you really want in your life and in your business and identifying your future dreams. It also exemplifies what it means to have patience and persistence in keeping that vision in front of you.
It's mid-year and time to review your Vision Board. For the past 15 years, every year, I have taken the time to create a Vision Board for each new year. For the last 5 years, I have taught a vision board class online and offline to help business owners discover the powerful results they can accomplish by using this method of goal setting and action planning.
This year I produced a Vision to Decision Workbook that takes you through a number of questions, actions and exercises. I believe so strongly in this method of setting goals and action plans I suggest you download this workbook here. They say our mind works in pictures. When you create visual images in the form of a well-designed vision board it will bring you much faster and more powerful results than wishing or hoping you'll achieve your goals.

I challenge you today, to write down your secret wish and create an action plan for the next six months.

It will inspire new thinking and action and over the next six months you'll find the action you take unfold because you took the time to create a vision of what you want in your business using this incredibly powerful method of goal setting.
