March and April are what I call "prime time"
months for recruiting and growing your team. After the long, cold winter in the northern
hemisphere, and the long hot summer in the southern hemisphere, people are
ready for new beginnings. Anytime there
is a transition of seasons, it seems like people are open to new
opportunities.
When I led my million
dollar team, I found these were the two most productive months of the year to
increase our team recruiting. That's
why I call them "prime time" months.
Leaders, it's time to
create a team building strategy that will infuse your team with new members
who want to earn extra income, pay off credit card debt, or want to build friendships with a meaningful product that changes people's lives. New team members are enthusiastic, energetic
and inject this excitement into the rest of your team.
Where will you find
these people who are looking for your opportunity? They are usually people who are within
your sphere of influence. If you're
following the "party business model" that I teach in every one of my webinars,
you'll know you'll connect with these people...

At your parties (Your best
recruits come from your parties)

Following up with past prospects
(Spring may be the time for them to join)

Your best hostesses or best
customers (They love the product so much they want to get more as a consultant)

Referral sources (People who want
to help you succeed and are educated about your referral program)

Networking groups - like BNI,
Chamber of Commerce, Member forums, Online Facebook groups, Linked-in groups
The key to capturing
"recruit leads" is knowing "who" is a lead. To uncover these leads it's important to pay
attention to people and their needs. And
the best way to pay attention is to "listen" with your heart. Build relationships and have intimate
conversations so you can "listen" if someone has a reason to learn more about
your opportunity. When you listen you
discover if your opportunity will solve a problem for her.
Once you recognize
her as a "recruit lead" or a person who would benefit from your opportunity,
the next step is to offer her an invitation. Invite her to hear more in a
coffee chat meeting. Or, perhaps, invite
her to listen to your Company or Team "opportunity call."
Now you've captured
her attention! She is interested in
learning more. She is interested to know
if this "opportunity" you have will really solve her need or the reason she's
interested.
And it's in this
coffee chat session where you'll find if your opportunity is truly a fit for
her. It's important you master this
skill yourself and teach your team members.
