I know it’s spring in Hawaii when the Agapanthus are in bloom. I love that they are also called the Lily of the Nile. I’ve been counting these beauties each day as each one raises it’s head. Turning a corner on your Entrepreneurial Journey

If you’d told me a year ago that I’d feel “comfortable” on camera, I probably would’ve laughed or wondered if that would ever happen. It was one year ago, that I began the journey of interviewing bright, intelligent, amazing entreperneurs and this week I’m dropping interview #32.

When I started these interviews

I had to have a script in front of me.
I felt self-conscious about how I looked.
I worried about how I sounded with my crazy accent.
I felt uncomfortable and didn’t know how to move and be natural.
I questioned whether anyone would be interested in learning about the behind-the scenes of being an entrepreneur and even watching or listening to me do these interviews!!

But, I didn’t stop! I kept showing up! I found entrepreneurs who were delighted to be interviewed and share their stories.

I just dropped Interview #32 and this week I realized.

I’ve stopped feeling awkward
I’ve stopped worrying so much about how I look.
I don’t care if someone doesn’t like my accent.
I'm excited to share their story.
I’m curious about them and feel comfortable asking questions about how they work, how they manage their mornings, how they build their businesses and balance “their” lives.

This week It’s like I turned a corner

I realized this week it's been a year! I leaned into consistency and curiosity, and now it's feels so much more natural. I feel like “myself” when I interview and NOTICED has been a DEFINITE SHIFT in EVERYTHING!

The reason I’m sharing this story is if you’re thinking… “I could never show up online.” Or “I feel so nervous and uncomfortable on camera.” I want to tell you YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN! I’m living proof! You just keep doing it over and over. You DO get better. And you build your confidence by showing up over and over again.
