How I Plan my Month with Purpose

Can you believe it’s nearly May 1^st? Here are some things I think are fun:

Reading a book you can’t put down. (see my latest read below, Babylonia, by Costanza Casati an amazing author.)
Having coffee with a friend and running into other friends. (does that happen to you?)
Interviewing old friends on my YouTube channel. (LeeAnn Webster helped me with my business years ago - never lose touch.)
And of course, taking a spin around my garden every morning. (Dahlias are the queens right now.)

Here's how I plan my month on purpose!

It's May 1 tomorrow are you ready for a great month?

Every month, I take time to plan with intention to make sure I’m aligning my energy with my goals. For me, the act of writing things down brings me clarity and momentum so I’m purposeful in growing my business.

It’s not about doing all the things—it’s about doing the things that I enjoy in helping and serving my clients.

There are just seven steps on how I plan my month using my purposeful planner system.

#1 I start with a 2-Page Monthly Spread and map out my month visually using post-it notes for key tasks and projects. Post its let me shift priorities around without stress.
#2 I set a Monthly Goal: I ask myself questions like, “What’s my main focus this month?” or “What do I want to promote?” Writing it down keeps it front and center and guides how I spend my time and energy.
#3 I Identify my RGA's. I learned this from my coach and plan 2–3 actions that could directly impact income. That might be joining a new community, pitching an offer, or showing up more online. Watch my video on RGA tasks for more on this!
#4 I love having a Master Task List: All my key to-dos go into one running list in my ONE NOTEBOOK JOURNAL. I then assign due dates and review this daily. Whether you use a notebook or an app, make it something you’ll actually look at. See my video on the importance of TO-DO lists.
#5 Who are my Connections for the month? Each month, I write down 5–10 people I want to connect with—potential clients, collaborators, podcast or YouTube hosts. I believe it’s relationships that move your business forward.
#6 I plan Content Around Client Needs. I brainstorm ideas for social posts, videos, and newsletter topics that solve problems for my ideal audience. Right now I’m focused on “behind the scenes” activities to help Entrepreneurs who work from home.
#7 It’s important I Set a Revenue Goal. I choose the number and track it weekly. It’s not about perfection—it’s about direction.

Planning this way helps me run my business with purpose, not pressure.
