3 Smart Social Media Tips
Being visible on social media is important, but it’s not the only way to grow a successful business. I’ve been learning how to be more intentional with my social media strategy
through a coaching program that focuses on both visibility and smart marketing.
This week, I want to share three powerful recommendations that have helped me become more focused and effective in what I post.
#1 STOP THE SCROLL. Your most valuable posts don't matter if no one stops to read them! The key is to grab attention with a strong hook - something that immediately makes someone pause.
My coach says to ask: What will make my audience make someone stop scrolling?A few ways to do this:
✅ Use eye-catching images or videos that stand out.
✅ Lead with an intriguing question or bold statement.
✅ Keep it short, clear, and impactful.
#2 Use More White Space. I never realized how much white space matters until now! My coach explained that posts with
plenty of space are easier to read, making them more engaging. Here’s what I’m implementing:
✔️ Always skip a line between paragraphs.
✔️ Keep designs clean and uncluttered.
✔️ Use simple, easy-to-read fonts.
The goal? Make your content effortless to consume.
#3 Where to Post Links! Social media platforms don't like posts with links
that take users off their site. Instead of dropping a link in your post try this:
- Put the link in the comments section
- Ask people to comment if they want the link and send it via DM.
- Post without the link, then edit later to add it in the comments.
Small tweaks can make a big difference in how your content performs!
