How do you stay motivated and productive working from home?
I’m addressing this question this week because I find DISTRACTIONS and INTERRUPTIONS are a real thing in our lives more than ever.
Even though, I don’t have little ones competing for my attention, there seems like there are always distractions.
- Household chores are ALWAYS there. They are never going away. It’s tempting to get everything done before you get to work on your business.
- Technology and social media can take you down rabbit holes. Just yesterday, I found
myself watching reels for no reason at all except it was about a young girl walking the 1,000 kilometer Bibbulmum track and it’s so interesting, BUT I was supposed to be working on my new course.
- Errands that need to get done. I’m getting good at stacking my errands so they get done on the same day. This saves me time. What about you?
- Family is another big one. They make noise,
they ask questions, they interrupt. It’s important you educate your family on when you’re working on your business and what they should do to get your attention.
To navigate these distractions, it’s important to set boundaries, create a daily schedule and prioritize your productivity.
