How many times do you hear yourself say
“I don’t have time!”
When I hear myself saying that phrase over and over, I know it’s time for me to do a TIME AUDIT.
I’ve been doing TIME AUDITS on and off for years and each time I do them I am always amazed “how” and “where” I’m
spending my time. I get to see how much time I’m working on my business, and the time I’m spending having fun with my family and friends and the time I love to devote to my hobbies and exercise.
I find I am constantly looking for ways to be more efficient with my time, and when I did a TIME AUDIT exercise this week, it was no exception.
In this time audit I was looking for the amount of time I spend on “Revenue Generating Activities.” I call them R.G.A.’s.
Revenue Generating Activities are those activities that develop into bringing in money to your business. It’s the busy work activities that keeps us distracted and when you do a TIME AUDIT, you notice immediately if you’re
spending too much time on the busy work.
After writing down everything I do in my 5-day Time Audit, I noticed three important things I needed to change. So, here's what I did..
- I was not spending ENOUGH time on R.G.A.’s
- So, I made a list of 15 R.G.A.’s to plug into my schedule.
- Then, I worked on my weekly planning to schedule them into my day.
WHAT WOULD BE THE TOP R.G.A. YOU WOULD PLUG INTO YOUR WEEK?
