Do you have a Journaling routine?
Journaling is a powerful tool that has been around for centuries. Journaling helps you record your thoughts, your emotions and experiences. Many people attribute to their happiness from having a journaling
routine. However, some people struggle to journal consistently. That’s how it was for me until I turned it into a journaling routine.
There are a few different approaches to get into the habit of journaling.
- Some people think they have to have expensive journals like hardcover or leather journals and fancy pens, but all you need is a simple pad or exercise notebook. Make it simple, if that’s what’s holding you back.
- When you have a journaling routine, it helps you enjoy the process. You become eager to start writing about your life and experiences consistently when you develop the routine..
- Journaling is a solo exercise. Finding the right time of day where you have
a few minutes to be alone where you can gather your thoughts to put pen to paper, helps you feel happy in expressing yourself.
- Some people set a morning hour for their journaling routine. Others prefer to journal in the afternoons, or maybe you’re like me and like to spend a few minutes writing at night before bed.
- My routine is a quick gratitude journal at night and a more lengthy journaling as part of my morning routine.
- The key is to be flexible about when and how you journal. There are no rules. Just don’t feel pressured to do it because you won’t enjoy it.
- You might want to experiment with different times until you find what works best for you.
- To make a journaling routine work for you, just be consistent.
