PUMP UP YOUR PRODUCTIVITY WITH SUMMER TIME
BLOCKS
I’m re-reading the book by Chris Bailey called, “The Productivity Project” and he says,
“If you want to become more productive, you simply have to work on your high impact tasks more often.”
And that’s what I’ve been doing to get things done with my TIME BLOCKING. I’m calling them “summer” time blocks to accomplish projects and “high
impact” tasks.
TIME BLOCKING IS NOT FOR ME!
I know some of you panic when you think of TIME BLOCKING because you think it’s a rigid schedule. I’m not talking about setting up emails on Monday, social media on Tuesdays, and follow-up on Wednesdays.
I’m talking about creating 1-3 HOUR BLOCKS OF TIME around your busy summer life to accomplish projects and areas of your business that have a high impact generating sales and
revenue.
It’s important you recognize each Block of time as time you SHOW UP for
your business to keep the wheels turning and the sales and revenue coming in.
WHAT HIGH IMPACT TASKS NEED A TIME BLOCK?
- Making sales TIME BLOCK
- Going live TIME BLOCK to show case your
products..
- Write your customer newsletter TIME BLOCK
- Follow-up TIME
BLOCK.
- Networking TIME BLOCK
- Meeting customers TIME BLOCK
- Weekly Planning TIME BLOCK
- Coffee Chat TIME BLOCK
- Social Media content TIME
BLOCK
- Texting campaign TIME BLOCK
- Connecting TIME BLOCK
- Sharing referrals TIME BLOCK
All of these ideas are high impact tasks and when we focus on scheduling a BLOCK OF TIME
to work on these tasks we begin to see the results.
Rather than thinking,
- “I need to do some follow-up”
- “I’ll write that newsletter soon.”
- “I must book a coffee chat some time soon.”
This is wishing in your business and not taking action on things that have a high impact on your business that bring in sales and revenue.
