Being a true entrepreneur, I gave myself permission to take off on Monday this week for a quick trip to Hilo. Hilo is 50 miles away and I have wanted to visit the Garden Exchange to look for Bonsai tools and plants.   Island living is about choosing when and where to shop.  You’ll love this view of the lovely green scenery in my Instagram story. 

St. Paddy’s day is coming up this Friday, and it always reminds me of the wonderful book called called “The Luck Factor:  The Study of the Lucky Mind.” By Dr. Richard Wiseman.

In this book he talks about the “power of luck” and how it plays a huge part in our lives and can have an enormous impact on the results we get in life. Dr. Wiseman reviewed hundreds of lives and he discovered four key difference between luck & unlucky people.

• Lucky people constantly encounter opportunities. Unlucky people seldom have these opportunities
• Lucky people make good decision without understanding why. Unlucky people tend to make wrong decisions that end in failure.
• Lucky people’s dreams come true in an uncanny way.  Unlucky people usually fail to achieve their dreams.
• Lucky people can turn bad luck into good luck. Unlucky people’s luck seems to remain the same.

He says it is possible to train yourself to be lucky by using a set of simple techniques and exercises, and you learn this throughout the book with his four luck principles.

Principle 1.  Maximize your luck by building & maintain a strong network of luck. Learn how to network scheduling virtual coffee chats in my latest video.

Principle 2.  Follow your gut instinct and intuition.  Lucky people listen to their intuition and plan their success.   People contemplate and plan their business.  Learn this technique in my recent BLOG POST.  

Principle 3. If you want good luck you must first expect it.  When the opportunity arrives, you’re ready to seize it.
