The Magic in making Checklists

Aloha Friends,

It’s been an up and down week this past week. Lots of emotional ups and downs. After watching the Queen’s funeral and then attending another funeral of a dear friend it makes one realize the important thing in life is to be happy and be kind to one another while we can. I said goodbye to a sweet friend as they scattered her ashes at sunset. Friendships really matter. Here’s a snap of the sunset. You can watch the reel on Instagram here.

We are going through SHIFTS in time!

Have you noticed the uptick in grocery prices at the supermarket right now? Hawaii is known for our high cost of living because everything comes to us via a container. Except for the fresh veggies grown on the island. So, I’m making lists and trying to only buy what’s on the list.

Do you EVER go to the market and buy “exactly” what’s on your list? I always come home with twice as many but with our prices doubling, I’m working on getting better and being very mindful to buy exactly what’s on the list.

I LOVE CHECKLISTS! In fact, one would probably say I’m obsessed with them.

Every time I feel like there’s just too much to do, and I’m feeling overwhelmed, or I’m faced with a new project, I put the kettle on, brew a nice cup of tea sit down with paper and pen and start making a CHECKLIST!

I make a CHECKLIST every time I write a BLOG.

I make a CHECKLIST every time I make a YOU TUBE VIDEO

I make a CHECKLIST every time I go LIVE on social media.

I read a quote by author, Alexandra Frazen that said, “Checklists are like an extra storage tank for your overwhelmed brain?” You’re helping yourself remember all those things you don’t want to forget.

All I know is when I make checklists, I feel organized, I have clarity on “the next step” to take, and most of all I feel calm and focused in moving forward to get things accomplished.

That’s the MAGIC of making checklists.

SHIFTS ARE HAPPING IN MYMENTORBIZ

So……… I’ve been making lots and lots and lots and lots of checklists lately because I’m making some SHIFTS in my mentoring business.

It’s exciting, it’s a lot of steps, but because I have my CHECKLISTS, I feel organized. I’m focused, and I’m moving through each check one step at a time.

I’ll be releasing these SHIFTS over time because I have a number of checklists to go through to insure to make this a seamless shift in my business.
