NOW is the time to LISTEN with intention...

This week I only walked twice because I was glued to my BBC APP on my phone watching the Queen’s funeral. It was mesmerizing and I’m sure if I lived in London again, I’d be joining those thousands who were queuing up to walk by her coffin in Westminster Abbey. London is one of those amazing cities you must go before you die, and I was fortunate to live there when I was single for a couple of years working at the Australian Embassy. What I learned from that experience was learning to love British humor. I watch a lot of British shows. Here’s a shot of my walk that I posted as a story on Instagram.

I’ve been talking a lot about changing times we’re experiencing in our life right now. I believe this fall is a time where you have the opportunity to double and triple your business because people are looking for new opportunities more than ever.

There are many people who want to work remotely from home.
There are many people who need extra income to pay for the high grocery prices. (Do you know I pay $9 for half gallon of milk in Hawaii?)
There are many people who are looking for a way to earn extra income for the holidays.

These are the three top reasons to pay attention and be intentional about LISTENING.

LISTENING is one of the toughest skills you’ll ever learn to perfect. Being quiet while the other person talks is hard for a lot of people, but if we truly listen and are interested in what others say, your life and your business will change.

Lives are changing, people are moving to new locations. Some want something unique and different to do.

LISTEN with intention at your next party, or in a conversation with a customer, or even at a social or networking event.

When you LISTEN with intention, you'll find that person who is looking for a second stream of income or needs to work flex hours.

Imaging having a conversation with a guest at a party who “mentioned” she was looking for part time job. Sometimes we don’t “hear” those words because we’re too busy demonstrating the products, or working with the hostess or taking orders. But if you LISTEN, really LISTEN, you’ll hear what’s happening in people’s lives and you’ll dig deeper into the conversation and find out if this person is a good fit for your business opportunity.

Direct Sellers get a bad rap for asking

EVERYONE if they want to join their business.

(Don’t be one of those people.)

If you have conversations and LISTEN INTENTLY and learn more about a person’s life, you’ll share your opportunity with the RIGHT person who you feel has a real need to join your team.

There are moments at your party where you have the opportunity LISTEN AND LEARN about people's lives. I shared a video on this very subject.

One of the best ways to listen is to become curious. Be interested in THEM and ask questions. When you ask questions, you are like a friendly detective.

I was always curious about a person’s life, her work, her family, her hobbies, her dreams . Discovering the answers to these questions, I listened intently and gathered information! In the coaching world, we call this heart-centered listening. Listening with your heart.
