NETWORKING WAS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT AREAS THAT HAD A HUGE IMPACT ON THE GROWTH OF MY BUSINESS.
#1. I became skilled at networking asking questions. I was always the first to introduce myself, and asked questions about THEM! I learned that people love to talk about themselves. In our short time together, I learned a lot about them and their business. Here are some questions I would ask…
- What brought you to the networking event today?
- Tell me about your business?
- How long have you been in business?
- What do you love about your business?
- Tell me about your products?
- How do your products help your customers?
- What are your favorite hobbies?
- Where do you live? (Usually they would share about their family.)
- What do you love most about this networking group?
- Tell me about your Ideal referral?
- How can I refer people to you?
2. I became skilled at networking sharing my perfect referral lead. Throughout this conversation, I didn’t share anything about myself. I kept asking questions about “them.” What happens here is they become more interested in you and eventually they will ask you some questions, so be prepared to share explicitly what type of referral lead you
are looking for.
- I shared my passion for my products & how they helped people.
- I shared my story, why I joined my company and why I love it.
- I described my ideal customer – the one who loved my products.
- I described someone who would make a great fit for my business.
- I shared our generous hostess program.
- I shared the story of my company and how easy it is to get started.
- I shared about the people on my team and how we loved working together.
3. I networked with a Power Partner. My partner and I would attend networking events together. We’d drive together to the event, but at the door we’d go our separate ways. She was a Realtor and I was a Direct Sales Fashion Expert, so we would both enjoy the event, meet people, get to know people and refer people to each
other. We were very successful in helping each other grow our businesses.
