How was your Thanksgiving?  I didn’t want to cook a turkey this year, so we opted to go to the lovely Mauna Kea Beach Hotel for their delicious meal.  It was so lovely sitting on the south lawn near the ocean listening to Hawaiian music and watching the sun go down.

I loved having this time with my family to eat good food and feel grateful for all the good things in my life like my little home-based business where I get to coach and mentor so many direct sellers around the world like YOU! 

This week a UK client and I discussed why some people on her team are flying high with their business and why some people are failing. 

The reason those are successful?

They are being visible and getting out of their house, showing everyone they have a great direct sales business with great products that help people thrive. This is what I call having a “VISIBILITY PLAN” and this is what I teach you in the Journey to Leadership group coaching program

All this leads to business and MORE business!  Some people hold back because they say can’t afford to join a networking group.   Or don’t want to give a discount when someone gives them a referral.  Or won’t give up a percentage of their profits holding a fundraiser. 

This is because they don’t understand the importance of having OPERATING CAPITAL in their business.   When you have OPERATING CAPITAL in your business you never have to say, I can’t afford that.  You are a business owner and your business should make a profit

What if you had a way to track your profit, your loss, your expenses, and learn how to keep your business healthy with OPERATING CAPITAL using budgeting worksheets?

If you’re budgeting your monthly income and expecting an amount of cash flow to pay for necessary expenses every month, you want to insure you hold the right amount of parties with the expected amount of sales and income.   You want to make sure you keep your OPERATING CAPITAL ready for any emergencies. 

I recommend around $500 in operating capital!  $1,000 would be ideal.   After all, this is a business and every business has legitimate expenses, and knowing there are enough funds to pay for them from your OPERATING CAPITAL, takes the fear out of saying, “I can’t afford that.”  At the end of the month, you simple pay back your OPERATING CAPITAL from the profit you made.
