Have you been there? I’m guessing you have because as my newsletter friend, you're obviously a creative entrepreneur who is curious AND creative.
So, here are three effective strategies that brought me back to reality to stay on task without stifling my creative flow.
#1 Set realistic small Goals. I usually set myself 3 small goals to accomplish each week because I believe they act as stepping stones that move you forward. This approach not only makes your goals more attainable but also prevents that feeling of being overwhelmed.
For a structured approach, I follow my
90-day Goals playbook. It is designed to help you stay on task by setting achievable milestones and keeping you motivated every step of the way.
#2 Follow your daily to-do list. I write my daily to-do list in my ONE NOTEBOOK JOURNAL every day, and I schedule these tasks in my planner every morning. This method helps me manage my time effectively and ensures that I allocate adequate time for each task. When I found myself like I did this week. going down the "knitting rabbit hole," it was my to-do list that pulled me back on task to focus.
#3 Implement 10 Tiny habits to boost your focus. This week’s rabbit hole made me review my 10 Tiny Habits video on you tube. Incorporating tiny habits into your daily routine can significantly enhance your ability to focus and ignore distractions. These small,
deliberate actions are easy to implement and can make a big difference in your productivity.
The one I mostly needed was to get back to was focusing on 3 priorities on my to-do list. When you get in the habit of prioritizing three tasks you have a great sense of accomplishment. Thus staying focused and NOT going down the rabbit hole.
